A Lonely Planet travel writer, Greg has rumbled in the jungles of Bolivia, trekked across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, interviewed future Presidents and grammy-award winners, dodged flying salmon in Alaska and climbed mountains (big and small) in between.


Greg’s Lonely Planet guidebook work includes: Mexico, Yucatan, Cancun Encounter, Chile, Alaska, Puerto Vallarta & Pacific Mexico, Honduras, and Ecuador. He also worked on LP’s coffee table books, including Bluelist, USA Book and Great Adventures. He’s also written guides (for the other guys) to Costa Rica, Guatemala, California, Chile, Peru and Bolivia.


He is an expert on international development, food, wine, Latin America, sustainable travel and adventure sports, and has also contributed as an authoritative expert for such media outlets as Newsweek, The Washington Post, BBC Radio, Rick Steve’s Radio and Let’s Travel Radio.


A former commissioning editor for Lonely Planet, Greg has wrote Lonely Planet’s first guidelines to sustainable travel writing, and has written articles for more than 40 major publications worldwide.
