THE SITUATION OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION IN NICARAGUA

Abstract: 

This essay aims to analyze from sociological approaches the situation of preschool education in Nicaragua, prioritization that give educational policies, conceptions that society has on this level and to analyze the socioeconomic status of teachers and especially the preschool. The method was applied to collect evidence to support this study was qualitative using interviews with preschool teachers, workers MINED (Ministry of Education) and mothers , direct observation in two schools and also resorted to documentary research. Of all information collected, you can check the status of pre-school education is alarming because Nicaraguan society perceived as expendable and contributes little or nothing to the formation of the student , educational policies consider unimportant in the formation of the learner by what little attention, parents and society in general believe that children do not need to receive pre-school education , the state and the Nicaraguan Ministry of education are quite sure that  the teacher pay does not influence the improvement of educational quality and especially preschool education, and in society , to be a professional education does not give financial or academic status , and this would result in the enormous social and economic backwardness in the country is immersed, because the education of the human being is not prioritized from the earliest age. To counter all this, the Ministry of Education should rethink its structure and working together with universities seeks a claim of preschool education and the work of their teachers. The state should prioritize education category and assign more budget to this level.
